If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. What HGV Connect Is

HGV Connect is a driver registration and connection platform. We provide a service that allows HGV drivers to create profiles and be discovered by specialist recruitment agencies.

We are not a recruitment agency. We do not employ drivers, arrange work placements, negotiate pay rates, or act as an intermediary in employment relationships. The relationship between drivers and recruitment agencies is entirely between those parties directly.

We are not an employer. Registration with HGV Connect does not constitute an employment relationship, a contract of employment, or a guarantee of work.

3. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom (for driver registration)
• Provide accurate and truthful information in your registration
• Hold a valid UK driving licence with the appropriate HGV categories (for driver registration)

4. Driver Registration

4.1 Free Service

Registration as a driver is free. There are no hidden fees, subscription charges, or deductions from your pay. HGV Connect generates revenue from partner agencies, not from drivers.

4.2 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile updated. This includes your licence categories, CPC status, ADR certification, and contact details.

Providing false or misleading information may result in your profile being removed from the Platform without notice.

4.3 Verification

HGV Connect may verify certain details you provide, including licence categories and CPC status. Verification helps us maintain the quality of our driver database. We use third-party verification services and may contact you for supporting documentation.

4.4 Profile Sharing

By registering, you consent to your professional profile being shared with our vetted partner recruitment agencies. This includes your name, contact details, licence categories, experience level, and work preferences. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting hello@hgvconnect.co.uk.

5. Agency Partners

5.1 Partner Obligations

Recruitment agencies that partner with HGV Connect agree to:

• Comply with all applicable UK employment and recruitment legislation, including the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
• Handle driver data in accordance with UK GDPR and our data sharing agreements
• Not contact drivers for purposes other than legitimate recruitment
• Maintain professional standards in all interactions with drivers

5.2 No Endorsement

Listing an agency as a partner does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of their services. Drivers should conduct their own due diligence before accepting offers of work.

5.3 Agency Responsibility

HGV Connect is not responsible for the conduct, decisions, or employment practices of partner agencies. Any disputes regarding pay, working conditions, or conduct are between the driver and the agency directly.

6. Informational Content

HGV Connect provides a range of informational resources including driver guides, salary information, category explanations, and industry news (the “Content”). This Content is provided for general information purposes only.

• Salary information: Pay rate figures quoted on this Platform are indicative estimates based on industry data. Actual pay will vary by agency, employer, location, and experience. Nothing on this Platform constitutes a guarantee of earnings.
• Regulatory information: Guides covering tachograph rules, Driver CPC, licensing, and other regulatory matters reflect our understanding at the time of writing. Regulations change — always verify current requirements with DVSA or a qualified professional.
• Salary Calculator: The salary calculator tool on this Platform produces estimates only. Results are not financial advice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Platform, including text, images, logos, graphics, and the overall design, is the property of HGV Connect and is protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this Platform without our written permission.

You may share links to pages on this Platform freely.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful code

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for the actions, decisions, or conduct of partner recruitment agencies
• We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
• Our total liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed £100

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.

11. Changes to the Platform and These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law
